Here it is, the proof.
Israeli soldiers were justified in opening fire on these thugs.
Video speaks for itself.

Dead thugs. Serves them right.

Anyone still want to claim that they were non-violent peaceniks trying to get humanitarian supplies into Gaza? Israel had already offered for them to offload at an Israeli port and after inspection, truck the supplies into Gaza.

JACK DEATH

Being boarded in international waters could be considered terrorism or piracy you would defend yourself.

We will see if they were in international waters if so Israels will be in the wrong.

Couldn't agree more sscott. These "peaceful activists" got exactly what they wanted...and what they deserved.

Wrong Jack. I can cite international law if you like. Israel has a blockade, they warned the ships to change course. When they did not they were boarded.

Really. I feel confident in saying that you could easily tell the difference between being boarded by Somali pirates and soldiers of the IDF.

We will see if they were in international waters if so Israels will be in the wrong.

Please hold your breath while you wait for that answer...

What a joke scott, and I'm sure all those supplies would have made it to their destination, just like all the other supplies that make it there on a routine basis; right, Like water, food, basic necessities. Yea, what ever. And I'm sure poles and chairs were exactly what the terrorest thought of when they planned their attack on the IDF; guns, bombs, and suicide vest were way to obvious, I'm sure of it. My ass.

    Coach, if they would stop firing rockets into Israel, the blockade would end.

    Any sane person who attacks armed soldiers with steel rods and chairs should expect to get shot.

    OR, they expect another propaganda tool with which to beat Israel over the head with. The video is crystal clear except, of course, to those who are so blinded by hatred that they can't see straight.

    That video was shown on BBC , yet the commentary was unrelentingly about condemnation of Israel.

    67. Merchant vessels flying the flag of neutral States may not be attacked unless they:

    (a) are believed on reasonable grounds to be carrying contraband or breaching a blockade, and after prior warning they intentionally and clearly refuse to stop, or intentionally and clearly resist visit, search or capture;
    (b) engage in belligerent acts on behalf of the enemy;<
    (c) act as auxiliaries to the enemy s armed forces;
    (d) are incorporated into or assist the enemy s intelligence system;
    (e) sail under convoy of enemy warships or military aircraft; or
    (f) otherwise make an effective contribution to the enemy s military action, e.g., by carrying military materials, and it is not feasible for the attacking forces to first place passengers and crew in a place of safety. Unless circumstances do not permit, they are to be given a warning, so that they can re-route, off-load, or take other precautions.

    Hey, we found something we can agree on, sscott! :P

    The Israelis warned them of the blockade, the "aid boats" tried to run it, the Israelis boarded it and got attacked, and they found weapons and contraband on board.

    Pretty open and shut to me.

    I agree gunshark. Israel was within its rights.

    And as the video shows, the soldiers were clearly attacked.

    Just as our Coast Guard can stop and board vessels off our shore, even in International Waters-it's called probable cause. The Anti-Israeli folks keep punting this around. I was on one article yesterday where the author was naming viner's he considered to be paid PR people for Israel-thankfully, Newsvine and it's members got his article deleted.

    They were clearly not defending themselves. They were clearly trying to beat a soldier to death while he was down on the deck. They were clearly armed with clubs. There was no evidence in the video that any soldier was firing on them. None of them were scurrying for cover from any shooting. It's ridiculous. They were terrorists masquerading as peace activists. Israel should not let any of them go until there is an effort to identify those who were weilding clubs and chairs and striking the soldiers. Those people should be imprisoned and tried.
